General Admissions Process
1. Choose a program and check your program admission requirements
The first big step of the application process and your post-secondary future is finding the perfect program for you!
Once you’ve found a program you’re interested in, check the Admission Requirements section on the program page to make sure you’re eligible to apply and will meet all of the program prerequisites.
Note: In addition to the program prerequisites, the Architectural Studies program requires a portfolio and statement of interest. For more information, visit the Admission Requirements section of the program page.
2. Apply online through the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC)
Once you’ve decided on one or more programs, you can apply for them online through the Ontario Universities Application Center (OUAC). The OUAC processes applications to all universities in Ontario.
Not sure how to complete the application?
Follow the instructions in the OUAC’s Undergraduate Application Guide. The guide provides information on applicant responsibilities, deadlines, and application fees.

Below are the deadlines to submit your application for Fall 2024:
- Ontario High School Students – January 15th, 2024

Continue to check the portal regularly to:
- View new messages and documents sent by us

4. Apply for scholarships and bursaries
Finances should never stand in the way of your education. Take advantage of the several scholarships, bursaries, and awards that Laurentian has to offer for your first year and beyond.
Note: The application processes and eligibility requirements may vary. Make sure to carefully read the details of each scholarship, bursary, or award you’re applying for.
5. Apply for residence
Thinking about living on-campus during your studies? Life in residence offers many advantages: a welcoming environment where you’ll meet students with shared interests, as well as close proximity to classes, health and fitness facilities, study spaces, and a multiplicity of resources.
Current high school students are guaranteed a spot in residence when they apply to University College or Single Student Residence before June 3, 2024. Preferred accommodation is based on availability.
